This is my diary of the restoration of a 1951 MG TD.
I bought the car
in pieces in Hout Bay, Cape Town and have brought them to my home in Hermanus where I will be carrying out the rebuild......
My Dad purchased an MG/TD in Detroit in 1958, it was yellow with red leather interior, a right hand drive and a back seat. It was so special. We loved that little car. He kept it till the early 1970's, when he sold it for $900.00. :( The gentleman who purchased the MG sent us pictures of the vehicle completely restored, a few years later. It looked fantastic, my Dad couldn't believe how well it turned out. It had all original parts so, in my opinion the new owner struck gold!!!!
